I recently got my ears on the new record by Fountains of Wayne, “Sky Full Of Holes,” and I’m pleased to say that it is more of the same.
More hooks than a fly-fishing store? Check.
Harmonies that would make the Beatles jealous? Check.
Singalong choruses that stay with you long after the song is over? Check.
Wry and heartfelt storytelling in each and every song? Check.
If you’ve listened to FoW before, then you’ve heard “Sky Full Of Holes” already. And that is an awesome, fantastic, fun thing.
When this record is officially released in August, do your ears a favor and pick it up. It’s wonderful.
